Privacy Policy

The short version. Sheepish is a private space for two people. What you and your partner write to each other belongs to the two of you. We do not sell your data, we do not show you ads, and we do not use what you write to target you with anything.
This policy explains what Sheepish collects, why, and what you can do about it. Sheepish is operated by Genesis 2 LLC, 2108 N St, Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816 ("we", "us").
What we collect
Information you give us

Information collected automatically
- Your time zone. So streaks and daily prompts land on the right day for each of you.
- A notification token for your device, if you turn on notifications, so we can send them.
- Usage events, such as which screens you opened and which games you finished. These tell us what is working and what is broken. They do not include what you wrote.
- Subscription status, so the app knows whether your plan is active.
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for your phone number.
- We do not record audio or video.
- We do not access your contacts, your camera roll beyond a photo you choose, or your location.
- We do not receive your card details. Payments are handled by Apple.
How your shared space works
Almost everything in Sheepish belongs to the two of you as a couple, not to one person. That has two consequences worth being clear about:
- Your partner can see what you write in your shared threads, games and appreciations. That is the point of the app. Some games deliberately hide your answer until you have both answered.
- Shared history stays shared. If one of you deletes their account, content that belongs to the couple may remain visible to the other person, because it is theirs too. If you want your shared history removed entirely, contact us and we will handle it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run the app. Each of them only receives what they need:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
Where your data is held
Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you are outside that region, your information will be transferred there to run the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and content while your account is open. If you delete your account we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records for legal or accounting reasons. Backups are cycled out within 30 days.
Security
Access to couple content is enforced at the database level, so one couple's data cannot be read by another. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects you.
Your choices
- See your data. Ask us and we will send you a copy.
- Correct it. Most of it you can edit in the app.
- Delete your account. You can do this from inside the app, in Settings. It removes your account and your personal information.
- Turn off notifications in the app or in your device settings.
- Opt out of analytics by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including under the GDPR or California law, such as the right to object to processing or to request portability. Write to us and we will honour them.
Children
Sheepish is built for adults in a relationship and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
